Senior Manufacturing Support / Logistics Engineering
What you can look forward to doing in this role:
- Develop and maintain the processes, tooling, and equipment needed for logistics and packaging requirements.
- Engage actively with operations to ensure processes within SAP are within standard.
- Develop and validate process cycle times by conducting time studies.
- Troubleshoot day-to-day process issues, develop solutions, and monitor improvements.
- Respond to customer issues and lead process improvements to reduce cost
- Estimating costs for equipment, materials, and installation as a basis for determining the feasibility of alternatives and return on investment.
- Collaborate and participate in multifunctional teams.
- Provide cross shift support as necessary to support production.
- Work with vendors to purchase needed equipment for process improvements or logistical changes. Providing design information, reviewing, and approving proposals and serving as the primary company contact.
- Approving drawings, specifying equipment, and writing purchase requisitions.
- Supervising work of outside contractors.
- Creating technical specifications and functions requirements for facilities related projects.
- Periodic reporting on standard operating measures
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have advanced proficiency (Can train others) in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Planner, Project, etc.)
- Must have or are completing in December 2025 a 4-year technical bachelor’s degree. Examples of Technical degree include Supply Chain, Mfg. Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Top Candidates for this position may also have:
- 1 to 3 years of industrial, manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, project, or related technical experience. Can include internship, co-op, apprentices, military service, or similar programs.
- Strong Project Management Skills
- AutoCAD proficiency
- SAP Experience
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain engineering drawings.
- Experience troubleshooting and modifying service systems such as electrical power components, lighting systems, electrical equipment, material handling systems, material handling equipment (forklifts, reach trucks, etc.)
- Industrial robotic experience.
- Experience in conducting time studies.
- Experience running large capital projects.
- Understanding of shop operations and maintenance procedures as well as previous experience in a particular discipline.
- Able to build strong relationships with various stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate and have basic knowledge of functions performed by the skilled-trades personnel.
- Experience with lean manufacturing (Green belt).
