What You’ll Do:
- AI tool evaluation & selection: Help clients cut through the AI hype to identify practical, budget-friendly solutions. Conduct needs assessments and guide clients through vendor selection processes, balancing capability with cost-effectiveness and organizational readiness.
- Hands-On Implementation Support: Get your hands dirty with AI tools - from architecting RAG systems to building agents. Provide direct implementation support for off-the-shelf solutions while training client teams to maintain and optimize their AI investments.
- Custom Solution Scoping: Work with our engineering team to scope custom AI builds when commercial tools don't fit. Develop requirements, user stories, and technical specifications that bridge client needs with development capabilities. Know when to build versus buy.
- Client Training & Change Management: Design and deliver practical AI training programs for mission-driven organizations. Help teams move from AI-curious to AI-capable through hands-on workshops, documentation, and ongoing support that fits within tight budgets and timelines.
- Cross-Practice Integration: Embed with Insource's HR, Finance, and IT practices to accelerate AI adoption within our existing service offerings. Identify opportunities to enhance traditional consulting with AI capabilities and train internal teams on emerging tools.
- Lead Client Engagements: Lead focused AI adoption engagements from initial assessment through implementation. Manage project timelines, client communications, and deliverables while ensuring maximum value within budget constraints.
- Integrations and Automations: Many clients ask for AI… but actually want a traditional integration. Design solutions that meet clients’ needs, whether they are “AI” or not. Scope and run software, data and technology adoption projects across a variety of toolsets.
- AI Governance & Security: Develop practical frameworks for responsible AI use that balance innovation with compliance. Help clients navigate data privacy, security, and ethical considerations specific to healthcare, education, and direct service organizations.
- Market Research & Tool Testing: Stay at the leading edge of the AI curve by continuously testing new platforms and approaches. Maintain expertise across the rapidly evolving landscape of AI tools, sharing insights with clients and internal teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- Passion for helping others use AI: Demonstrated ability to distinguish between AI marketing hype and genuine business value. Hands-on experience with RAG systems, agent development, and platform integration. You get energy from talking to other people about how they could use AI.
- Consulting Experience: Proven track record working with healthcare nonprofits, educational institutions, or direct service organizations. Understanding of budget constraints, compliance requirements, and organizational cultures common in these sectors.
- Product Management Skills: Experience scoping technical requirements, managing stakeholder expectations, and bridging business needs with technical capabilities. Comfortable making build-versus-buy decisions and communicating trade-offs to non-technical audiences.
- Implementation Focus: Strong hands-on skills with AI platforms and tools. Ability to configure systems, troubleshoot issues, and train end users. You should love trying new tools and be able to speak from first-person experience about their strengths and limitations.
- Consulting & Communication Skills: Excellent client-facing abilities with experience managing short-term engagements and delivering results quickly. Strong presentation skills and ability to facilitate workshops and training sessions.
- Security & Governance Awareness: Understanding of data privacy, information security, and AI governance frameworks. Knowledge of compliance requirements relevant to healthcare, education, and nonprofit sectors.
- Collaborative Mindset: Comfortable working as an individual contributor while collaborating closely with engineers, designers, and other practice areas. Ability to shape a new role while contributing to both billable client work and internal capability building.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred but not required with relevant experience.
- Ability to work US Eastern hours with minimal travel requirements.
