IT Help Desk Specialist

Setup and maintain employee profiles on both internal and external servers, including but not limited to:

  • Emails
  • Phone extensions and direct lines
  • File access (server/network access)
  • Terminal services
  • Applications access
  • Computer and phone training

Assist in technical support:

  • Troubleshoot internal and external issues for existing employees, and manage connectivity issues with third-party vendors (including insurance carriers)
  • Resolve and maintain workstation issues related to upgrades, software, and hardware failure
  • Monitor SPAM, viruses and network attacks
  • Travel between local offices to resolve issues
  • Oversee updates and patches that apply to servers and switches

Qualifications:

  • Major in Computer Science or related field
  • Some technical expertise
  • Programming knowledge and experience in PHP
  • Local LAN/WAN networking understanding / experience
  • Able to manage time well and prioritize tasks
  • Able to travel between offices
  • Able to maintain a flexible schedule
  • Attention to detail
  • Bilingual (Mandarin Chinese or Cantonese)
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
