This is an 11-week Summer Internship Program paying $24.00 per hour and requires full-time, onsite work five days per week in Pasadena, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Market Access team with quantitative and qualitative analyses related to payer coverage, utilization management, and patient access.
  • Evaluate how payer management tools (e.g., prior authorization, step therapy, formulary tiering, cost share) impact real-world treatment initiation, abandonment, and persistence.
  • Develop analyses and, where appropriate, quantitative models to project patient access, utilization, and per-member-per-month (PMPM) budget impact under different payer scenarios.
  • Gather, organize, and summarize data and literature related to payer policies, benefit design, and medication treatment patterns.
  • Contribute to maintaining and updating internal reference materials comparing coverage criteria across payers and lines of business.
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions to learn how pricing, HEOR, and market access work together to support product strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to validate assumptions and incorporate stakeholder insights.
  • Prepare and present project findings and recommendations to the Commercial and Market Access team.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, basic data analysis, and charting.
  • Interest in cardiometabolic disease areas or population health analytics.
