Bold Summer Leadership Intern

The Vibe:
Bold Summer is a place where diverse people explore who they are and their experience from a personal, community, and social justice perspective. We seek people who are interested in pursuing a career that fights inequality, spending the summer creating real change in the community, and forming meaningful relationships with fellow leaders to advance powerful movements for a brighter future.

  • We don’t care if you are POC, but never worked with POC
  • We will never invite someone who wants to play “devil’s advocate” and doesn’t care about folks lived experience

The Experience:

  • Participate in personalized leadership development, strengths coaching, and intentional mentorship with our staff and community members
  • Learn from grassroots activists and meet elected and community leaders from across the country
  • Execute community action projects that serve communities of color and immigrant youth/young adults— especially working people and the undocumented community
  • Collaborate with your Bold Summer cohort to create meaningful change
  • $1800 stipend for completing the program
  • Public transit card provided
  • Housing scholarships available

The Growth:

  • Identify and practice your strengths as a leader, while working with a dynamic, hands-on, and passionate staff (Check out 21P’s amazing team here!)
  • Discover how you can personally develop as a social justice leader, within an expansive network of activists and movement builders
  • Learn skills that align with social change work and gain experience in a nonprofit startup environment
