Site Reliability Engineer Intern

About the team…

Endgame is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer intern to build solutions that enhance availability, performance, and stability of Endgame’s bleeding edge security platform and supporting systems.  You will be automating repetitive work and develop solutions that operate at scale, ensuring your own technology efforts directly improve the reliability of our products. Our teams are empowered and expected to improve Endgame’s products to truly deliver a reliable experience to customers. Members of the SRE team also support, deploy, and provide enhancements to the application infrastructure and act as a successful partner within our Engineering, Research & Development, and Product teams. You will be encouraged to bring fresh ideas and new perspectives to the position, while demonstrating versatility when faced with evolving requirements. You will work within a collaborative, flexible, start-up development environment while being offered opportunities to lead and expand your skill-set. Help us push our technology forward and leverage your expertise in networks and systems to shape the future of our products.


About the role…

Join our team for a 12 to 14 week paid internship. You will work closely with the development team to keep cloud deployed services operating and performing at levels both promised and expected by our customer base. Endgame is investing in ChatOps technology to enhance our continuous integration and deployment infrastructure and will be a focus of the internship project. Specifically, you will:

  • work in an Agile, collaborative environment to deploy, monitor, and maintain systems, including software installations, OS Updates, and core services
  • automate repetitive and error prone tasks and processes, using tools like Salt Stack, Salt Cloud Jenkins, Artifactory and the Github API's.
  • Respond to incidents and drive change that prevents the same issue from re-occurring
  • Design and implement tools for automated deployment and monitoring of multiple environments.

  • Highly motivated with a passion for ensuring scalable and highly-available products

  • Great at solving problems, debugging, and designing and implementing solutions to complex technical problems
  • Basic understanding of programming/scripting in a language such as Go, Bash, and Python
