Sky Ranger (zip line guide)

Are you physically fit, safety conscious, comfortable working with ropes and heights, and have an outgoing and personable disposition? Do you seek adventure, living in a pristine mountain and forest environment? If so, you may have what it takes to work at Soaring Tree Top Adventures, the world’s largest zipline course and rated #1 Attraction in the U.S. on TripAdvisor.com! Soaring is seeking applicants for Zipline Tour Guides (Sky Rangers) for the summer season.
Sky Rangers are responsible for safely leading large groups of guests through the zipline course. The job is physically challenging and requires 100% attention to safety, so you must be very physically fit and detail-oriented. Sky Rangers are also responsible for daily course inspections, harness inspections, and course and equipment maintenance.
Sky Rangers guide guests through the treetop canopy by handling guest equipment, sending and receiving guests on the Soaring cables, and communicating clearly with other Rangers. Candidates should recognize that safety is our first priority. Sky Rangers must maintain a clean and professional appearance, actively engage guests in conversation throughout the day, work well in a team environment, and provide a safe and unforgettable experience.
Requirements include the ability/upper body strength to lift children on and off Soaring cables, send and receive all guests to and from the platforms, frequently climb via ascenders and rappel down 40’ of rope, and feel comfortable working in such environments. Familiarity with climbing gear and WOFR or First Aid/CPR certifications are a plus. No previous climbing experience is required. Our outgoing guides need to be comfortable with public speaking, heights, standing for long hours, and are physically fit.
Positions are available for both peak and full season lengths. Our full summer season runs from mid-May through mid-October, while the peak season is from June 1 through mid-August.
Meals and housing are included with salary.
