Software Project Intern

Sharp Displays is looking for a “Sharp,” ambitious, and enthusiastic intern majoring in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) majors.

Our small team is launching visionary products. We think and move fast and want you to be able to too. You will be on the forefront, contributing to the highest visibility projects within a 10,000+ employee company.

  • Aid in the design of software projects and slide decks
  • Update the copy on technical Wiki/Confluence entries for software project
  • Brainstorm for product experience details and document discussion summary
  • Coordinate and set meetings with colleagues and coworkers
  • Take direction on design and writing projects and complete them autonomously
  • Write drafts of instructional guides to help educate other employees regarding internal documentation repository usage and access
  • Research on internal toolkit and process aiming to improve communication and documentation process
  • Spell check, grammar check, and edit final drafts of instruction guides and Confluence Wikis
  • Communicate effectively with the Product Management team

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong writing skills; copywriting, instructional, and/or technical writing skills are required
  • Microsoft Office suite expertise (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Google Docs suite expertise  (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms)
  • Mac OS and iOS experience
  • Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop experience  are a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong interest in technology and AV equipment
  • Ability to quickly learn to operate new products and features
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule around your school schedule
  • Ability to safely lift and carry equipment weighing 50 lbs. or more
