Community Management Intern

What does a Community Manager Intern do?

Democratizing opportunity for college students goes beyond making sure students have access to jobs they can apply to. Many students don’t have access to the same information that their peers at other colleges have. The Community Manager Intern will play a pivotal role in changing that by helping us launch our peer-to-peer community for students to ask questions and get career advice from experienced upperclassmen and alumni.

You will be responsible for maximizing our impact by ensuring we find answers for questions from all students. You will focus on sourcing a healthy supply of questions from students, and making sure we deliver high quality, relevant answers from upperclassmen or alumni. You are excited about our mission and the potential of building a community that helps students achieve successful careers.

What we're excited for you to work on

  • Lead our efforts to source and validate career-related questions from students

  • Own the process of getting answers to those questions from other students and alumni

  • Moderate submitted questions and answers to ensure they are high quality and meet our content guidelines

  • Work with our product team to target Q&A to maximize relevance

  • Drive experimentation for how we can grow organic community participation

  • Build out increasingly automated processes to streamline our Q&A sourcing efforts

What we look for
  • Self starter: highly organized, learns quickly, with a relentless focus on getting things done

  • Comfort with ambiguity: ability to own and drive projects to successful completion with minimal definition, in situations where the ‘right’ path is not always clear

  • Excitement taking products from zero to one

  • Ability to work out of our San Francisco office
