Human Resources-People Analytics Track

People Analytics (PA) is a data-driven HR function recently emerged in world's top high-tech companies. Starting from specific talent management questions, PA collects, integrates and analyzes data, and applies the results to human resource decision-making and practices.
PA at Tencent is a highly professional team that serves as an important strategic partner for the company’s senior HR managers. In this team, you will work closely with psychologists, behavioral scientists, as well as teammates of other professional backgrounds to tackle interesting and challenging talent issues together. You will become a trusted advisor to HR and business managers, generating impact on Tencent’s talent strategy and practices.

Responsibilities
Your tasks at PA include but are not limited to:
•Understand and analyze talent-related issues, identify data analytic opportunities
•Propose research questions, design research process to answer the questions
•Collect data through conducting interviews and questionnaires, and mining databases, etc.
•Perform quantitative and text analysis
•Visualize and communicate results
•Provide solution to HR team and business leaders, support decision-making and managerial interventions

Requirements
•Master’s degree or higher,, majoring in statistics, business analytics, computer science or related field; expected graduation during Sep 2019 to Aug 2020
•Advanced data processing and analytical skills, proficient in language and tools such as R, Matlab, SAS, Python, SQL, Tableau; and have related experience
•Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills 
•Strong communication skills in both spoken and written Chinese and English
•Conscientious, self-driven
