UN Environment - Internship Environmental Policy
UN Environment’s North America Office is looking for a for a full-time environmental policy intern to work with us at our office in Washington, D.C. starting in early September. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and demonstrated commitment to international environmental policy, including issues such as chemicals and waste, resource efficiency, and climate change. To qualify, they must be enrolled in a graduate program or in the final year of a Bachelor’s program; or within one year after graduation from a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. program.
The United Nations Environment is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment. The North America Office helps to implement the UN Environment's Regional programs in North America by initiating, coordinating and catalyzing regional and sub-regional cooperation and action in response to environmental, challenges, opportunities and emergencies. This position is located in the North America Office in Washington DC, USA.
