Fall Political and Public Affairs Internship

Thank you for your interest in Hilltop Public Solutions and our DC internship experience. During the fall and spring semesters, we ask that potential interns be able to commit roughly 15 hours or more to the internship per week during a 10 am to 6 pm workday, preferably in full or half day portions. The internship is paid hourly and is located in Washington, DC.

The Hilltop internship experience is unlike many others in Washington. Working at Hilltop goes well beyond answering phones and making copies. While such tasks are sometimes part of the job, interns are an integral part of the Hilltop team, which is why we term them intern analysts. Interns provide much of the research and writing support that allows Hilltop staff to attract new business and develop strategy on behalf of clients. On a typical day, a Hilltop intern may be asked to research and write a briefing memo on upcoming attorneys general races around the country, find background information for a client meeting, draft an op-ed on behalf of a coalition Hilltop manages, or write content for a candidate’s website. Hilltop’s intern analysts have the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting policy and political campaigns, develop strong research and analysis skills, and build lasting connections to some of Washington’s leading political minds.
