Business Development Associate

Cantrio is a leading importer, wholesaler, and distributor of construction materials with a focus on plumbing fixtures to the multi-family residential and hospitality industries. We are looking to add to our team a business development associate, who will have tremendous growth opportunities and work in many areas of the business.

This candidate should be a unique sales minded individual driven by growth opportunity and financial incentives. You will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions. 

To perform this role successfully, the business development associate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Proactively identify new opportunities and deliver innovative solutions to customers;
  • Develop market strategies by researching lists of high potential prospects;
  • Cultivate strong business relationships with key decision makers;
  • Review architectural drawings and blueprints;
  • Analyze and prepare proposals / quotations;
  • Conduct industry research analysis;
  • Prepare project status reports;
  • Manage and communicate on ongoing projects with clients;

Requirements / Skills

  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute tasks in an efficient and timely manner;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills;
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision;
  • Good computer skills;
  • Previous knowledge of business development and sales (plus);
