Full-Ride Graduate STEM Scholarship with $2,200+ Monthly Stipend

Opportunities in Science, Engineering and Technology at a Visionary Global Institution

The Institute of International Education has announced a new international scholarship program with Khalifa University of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi. Khalifa University (KU) is currently ranked in the top-300 in the world by QS and Times Higher Education, and specializes exclusively as a STEM and medical university.

The international graduate student scholarship program offers STEM students:
  • A full-ride academic scholarship
  • Generous tax-free stipend (ranging from $2,200-$2,700 per month)
  • Health insurance
  • Annual round-trip airfare travel to/from home
  • Funding to attend international conferences
  • Opportunities and access to research facilities that simply don’t exist in the U.S.

Students will also have fellowship opportunities while studying at KU, and will receive opportunities to continue to work in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, or elsewhere in the UAE upon graduating.

KU was founded as the merger between two major institutes (Masdar Institute and Petroleum Institute) under the KU umbrella, and retains ties with MIT and other U.S. universities, as well as collaborations with organizations such as NASA. The campus is modeled after U.S. universities, as is the curriculum (all classes are in English), and the degrees are ABET accredited. Like Abu Dhabi, which of the total population almost 75% is actually international, the campus is incredibly diverse and offers faculty from the U.S., Europe, and around the world.

The Khalifa University International Student Graduate Program is administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE).
