Management Trainee

Texas Pride Fuels, a diesel fuel and lubricant provider, is looking for recent and upcoming graduates to grow with us in our Management Training Program. We have engineered and pioneered a unique and efficient fueling method that has seen the demand in our services multiply. Due to this, we have set up a program to allow qualified candidates to maximize their future success by assembling an all-encompassing training program for soon-to-be management.

Hired candidates will be expected to gain the knowledge and experience, under the direction of experienced personnel, required for promotion to management positions. They will receive training plus perform duties in several areas including corporate office, sales, field operations, and accounting to become familiar with staff functions, company operations and company policies and practices that affect each phase of business.

Training salary will start effectively at $45,000/annually. Upon completion of the 6 month training program, hired candidates will receive a starting base salary of $50,000/annually in one of three locations:
  • West Texas, Southeast New Mexico
  • Central Oklahoma
  • South Texas (Near Pleasanton)
Final position and location will be determined by identifying the passions and affinities of the trainee in specific management roles. Aggressive health and retirement benefits are also available.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree (Can also be 6 months from obtaining Bachelor's degree.)
Duties (including but not limited to):
  • Participate in day-to-day details of crew life in camp and at work.
  • Monitor and promote the crew's physical and emotional safety on and off the work site.
  • Motivate crews to perform daily routines, tasks and jobs.
  • Operate and perform minor maintenance on vehicles and various other types of equipment.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Arrive at location on time.
  • Enforce and adhere to company's policies at all times.
  • Operate company equipment in a safe and professional manner.
  • Communicate daily with Crew Leads, Supervisors and Safety Personnel.
  • Complete and submit professional documentation (i.e time sheets, reports, etc.).
  • Master all skills required for helper, fuel techs and drivers.
  • Observe and assist experienced employees to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required to perform duties.
  • Inspect trucks for defects and safe operating condition, before, during and after trips. Submit a written inspection report for trucks condition.
  • Check shipping papers to determine the nature of the load and verify for accuracy.
  • Operate truck to and from designated destinations as DOT rules allow for “Hours of Service” for the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Operate trucks in inclement weather, which would include moving forward and backwards in difficult situations.
  • Report all accident and incidents involving drivers or company equipment.
  • Report any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies or in the event of irregularities relating to pickup or delivery of petroleum products.
  • Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations including driver’s “Record of Status”, mileage records and all other records required by law.
  • Perform fueling of pumps, sand kings, blenders, acid trucks, data van, etc. with Helpers, Fuel Technicians, Crew Leaders and Supervisors.
  • Comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Attend required company trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently lift object weighing up to 40 pounds or more.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders without fear of heights. 
  • Sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Occasional stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects.
  • Wear personal protective equipment for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work cold and hot temperatures.
  • Ability to work in wet weather conditions.
