Communications Intern
INTERNSHIP PROJECT
We are seeking a talented and engaged intern who wants to develop beyond the classroom. In this role, you will learn the inner workings of an environmental agency’s communications team while developing marketing portfolio materials. Gain experience supporting a passionate team of communications professionals in a fast-paced environment and support in the advancement of ADEQ’s strong agency brand.
Intern Project: Support in the development of newsletter content, training materials, marketing plans and agency templates.
COMPENSATION AND HOURS
- Compensation is $15.00 per hour with no other benefits provided.
- It is up to the discretion of the respective school to provide academic credit.
- The start date for this internship will be determined once a selection is made. Hours can coincide with class schedule.
KNOWLEDGE TO BE GAINED
You will bring the following to the internship:
· Strong communication background with an emphasis in content development
· Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, i.e., InDesign, Muse
· Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite
You will gain the following from this internship:
· Portfolio materials from:
- Creating and content for agency newsletter
- Assisting in development of training materials related to marketing strategies
- Organizing and updating agency templates
· Working to meet editorial deadlines
· Real-world applications for marketing tools
· Collaborating with creative teams
IDEAL CANDIDATE
· Intern candidate must be in their Junior or Senior year of a BS/BA or working towards a Masters/PhD program
· Candidate must have a GPA of 3.0 or better
· Candidate must have the right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
· Candidate must be at least 18 years old
