Social Advocacy and Research Intern

Position: Social Advocacy and Research Intern

Location: San Francisco Office

Time Commitment: 8-10 hours per week (in office and remote hours flexible)

Description: The Social Advocacy and Research Intern is an unpaid position and is responsible for supporting ViviendasLeón’s executive team on a variety of tasks that focus on organizational growth and outreach. For the Fall 2019 semester, the Social Advocacy and Research Intern will focus on projects that revolve around supporting and expanding ViviendasLeón’s Global Education Program, manage program data, and social media. The Social Advocacy and Research Intern will investigate current global education literature, its impact, and how ViviendasLeón can incorporate ideas from this growing field. The Social Advocacy and Research Intern will pursue their own independent research project to provide ViviendasLeón with insight into a potential new program, growth in a new area or general analysis of our current programs. During this internship, the Social Advocacy and Research Intern will learn about non-profit management, international development, and global citizenry. Other tasks that the intern will participate in are, managing data from our rural development programs, analyzing it and finding trends while also creating content for VL’s social media outreach.
