SUMMARY:
Qorvo is looking for a student to work as a Data Science Intern during the summer of 2020. The student will work with our Engineering and Quality Systems Team within our IT organization. This position will provide you with the opportunity to work with data analytics, predictive modeling and machine learning algorithms as well as providing an opportunity report out on your findings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Obtain data from various sources and prepare/transform the data for statistical analysis and machine leaning applications.
Collaborate with cross functional associates to discover insights and causalities found in underlying data.
Implement and compare advanced predictive modeling and statistical analysis methods (supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms, optimization methods, etc.).
Communicate the methods and outcome of the analysis to audiences with diverse technical backgrounds.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Self-Starter with good communication skills.
GPA of 3.0 or higher required.
Experience with Big Data.
Knowledge of Statistical modeling and machine learning
NOTE: Because this is a student internship, candidate must be a currently enrolled student in a degree-seeking accredited program.
