Coordinator, Special Services & Royalty Compliance

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
  • Compile and prepare summary reports identifying new client work history and review to identify anticipated royalty agreements and revenue sources.
  • Prepare various forms, including, change of address, change of payee and direct deposit forms.
  • Assist supervisor with online royalty portal account set-up and transition.
  • Manage incoming royalty statement transmittals and physical payment handling; assist Royalty Compliance staff with electronic payment confirmation.
  • Prepare desk audit summary reports during royalty transition of new clients; assist royalty department staff with payment confirmations of historical data.
  • Update client discography reports, submit repertoire to applicable collection societies, and identify agreements/ accounts corresponding to new client releases.
  • Review external “unclaimed/ suspense” earnings reports from applicable sources and determine possible client matches.
  • Prepare various royalty collection society registrations of client song and sound recording data.
  • Assist department staff with preparation of royalty reports for client financial meetings.
  • Inventory all royalty source accounts during new client transition process and log account details.
  • Identify missing revenue sources during new client transition process and update open items report for review with client.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • BS in Business Management with strong academic record
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • 2+ years working in a business management firm or entertainment industry, preferred.
