Summer Intern- Pharmacometrics (1913946)

Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Pharmacometrics Group located at our Ridgefield, CT facility. As an Intern, you will you will be assigned to your own pharmacometrics project and work under the supervision of an experienced pharmacometrician. The project scope includes but is not limited to performing hands-on pharmacometrics analysis in NONMEM and R based on pre-clinical and clinical pharmacokinetic/pharmacodymanic data and collaborating with other stakeholders in drug development. Ideally, the project results in a poster presentation or publication.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and qualify PK, PKPD and/or disease progression models including data set preparation and post-processing of software output
  • Perform literature research to support model development and qualification
  • Present project results and conclusions to Global Pharmacometrics Group and other stakeholders
  • Summarize project results and conclusions in internal report and/or external poster/publication
Requirements:

Must be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional Student in good academic standing.
Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other related coursework.
Overall, cumulative GPA (from last completed quarter) must be at least 3.000 (on 4.0 scale) or better (No rounding up).
Major must be related to the field of internship.

Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:
  • Hands-on experience in pharmacometrics software packages (e.g., NONMEM, R)
·      Basic knowledge in non-linear mixed effect modelling and biostatistics
·      Basic knowledge in clinical pharmacology and model informed drug discovery and development
Eligibility Requirements:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
Must be 18 years of age or older
