Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

Prepare data for analysis and use machine-learning technology to produce predictive insights.

Collaborate with co-workers and clients to understand client problems and develop analytic solutions.

Mentor junior co-workers to ensure their professional development.

Deliver presentations on behalf of the company at business development events and meetings.

Manage multiple high-priority tasks that have competing deadlines.

Stay apprised of current and emerging trends in applied mathematics and statistics.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Mathematics, and Engineering (e.g., Computer, Electrical, Network), or a related discipline.

Three or more years of work experience, including fellowships and internships, in a structured research environment, preferably biomedical or clinical. Understanding of multivariate mathematical modeling techniques and statistical methods in those environments highly desired.

Demonstrated proficiency with statistical tools, including R, SAS, MATLAB, and Python (including the rpy2 library)

Sufficient knowledge of databases to enable data extraction, normalization, and curation.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, apply creativity, and quickly learn new skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

U.S. citizenship required.
