Assistant Account Executive (Talent PR)

Job Description: 
 
The Los Angeles office has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Account Executive to join its Talent Department. The candidate will provide a high volume of administrative support to a busy executive’s desk along with superb service to a roster of entertainment personalities.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to Vice President of Talent
  • Support department publicists on assigned project work
  • Answer high volume of phone calls
  • Assemble client mailings and press kits
  • Maintain client’s master event calendar
  • Pitch clients to the Entertainment Media, under supervision of other publicists
  • Coordinate client media coverage
  • Cover client events, photoshoots, meetings, etc.
  • Assist in preparing monthly client PR reports
  • Assist in planning and executing client events: researching vendors and getting quotes, site inspections, guest list development, sending invitations, tracking RSVPs, providing onsite staffing
  • Work early morning, evening and weekend events as needed
 
Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications or related field
  • 1-2 years of related experience preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, AP style proficient
  • Previous experience at a publicity or talent agency
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Demonstrated strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding the business impact
  • Self-directed, proactive, eager to learn
  • Able to professionally interact with clients

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous entertainment experience
  • Desires a long-term career in entertainment publicity
  • Knowledge and interest in music, sports and new media
