Strategic Sourcing/Procurement Intern

We are hiring interns for our Strategic Sourcing group.

Strategic Sourcing negotiates and procures a steady supply of quality products at the best possible cost. We work with hundreds of vendors and manufacturers to produce our Private Label items. As a Strategic Sourcing Intern, you can expect to learn and work on:
• Best in class negotiation practices
• Identify cost-drivers for finished goods
• Analyze market trends and prices
• Understanding of grocery supply chain
• Research products and related industries
• Maintain positive relationship with vendors
• Work with marketing, supply chain, & manufacturing
• How products make it from farm to shelf

This role currently does not offer relocation, so you must be able to work in our offices without relocation assistance from Albertsons Companies.


Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in progress, must be at least a junior status. (will consider recent graduates)

Looking for students with strong academics and the ability to hit the ground running 3.0 or above GPA.

Strong analytical, research and problem-solving abilities

Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
