Summer Internship- C-Suite Executive Office Intern

DESCRIPTION OF ASSIGNMENT
Strategic relationship management and communications will be the heart of this assignment. The intern will have the opportunity to interact with c-suite, senior management and various employees in all business areas throughout NLGroup. This interaction will provide a foundational understanding of, and exposure to, the role of professional executive administration and its associated responsibilities. The development of project objectives, systematic planning, and deliverables management will be integral to this role as the intern will be given projects to work on throughout the summer both independently and in teams with oversight from Office of Chairman, CEO & President.

SKILLS REQUIRED
High level communication skills (both verbal and written) are critical to this role. Integrity, confidentiality and high degree of professionalism are foundational needs as are organizational skills, team orientation, and the ability to learn quickly. The successful intern will be able to engage in independent and group problem-solving; conduct independent research, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks; observe, perform and improve a given process, all in a fast-paced environment. A focus on quality, attention to detail/accuracy, and excellent customer service are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft O365 applications a must.

TYPICAL JOB ASSIGNMENTS
1. C-Suite Business Area Rotation: Pre-determined time in each business support area. Overall familiarity with the functions of the C-suite offices and the general flow of corporate matters. Ad hoc assistance and gleaning for other assignments.

2. Research, develop and propose New Visitor Tracking System: Intern will be responsible for effecting a visitor tracking system. This will include obtaining data from the applicable NLGroup personnel; creating an inventory of current procedures to ensure the completeness and accuracy of data; archiving reference materials; pitching, building and implementing a new system.

3. Research, develop and propose APG Procedure Manual/Repository: Assist the APG in updating business processes associated with an array of administrative responsibilities. Intern will be responsible for setting up meetings with departments, updating the documentation, etc.

4. Research, develop and propose APG opportunities in utilization of OneDrive.

5. Team Intern Project: Collaborate with a team of interns on a summer long project that will be presented to senior management.
