Investing Analyst, Millionacres

The Motley Fool’s mission is to “make the world Smarter, Happier, and Richer.” For nearly 25 years that has meant providing impartial and informed investment recommendations with a healthy dose of personal finance guidance on the side.

We are now expanding our coverage to include real estate investing through our new brand Millionacres, which aims to do for real estate investing what The Motley Fool did for equities. We provide comprehensive and unbiased guidance for real estate investors of all sophistication levels, spanning free content, available on Millionacres.com, and paid premium services that include specific recommendations on investment opportunities.

As an analyst you will support our lead advisor in identifying new real estate investments to present to members, including individual commercial real estate deals, REITs, real-estate equities, and more. You will be responsible for covering these investments on an ongoing basis and updating our members (investors) on any major events or any relevant changes in your thinking. You’ll need a deep understanding of the various ways to analyze opportunities including IRR, cap rates, sponsor promotes, NOI, FFO, NAV, and more. You must be able to quote The Urban Land Institute’s annual real estate trends report (just kidding - maybe) and adopt a go-anywhere approach to help direct our members to the best opportunities at any given time. Industry experience and a personal track record as an investor are important. 

Furthermore, you’ll work with our operations and strategic leads to architect new investment solutions for our growing audience. These could be more focused services that include coverage of real estate debt or other income instruments, as well as courses or other programs to help investors. As a resident expert you will also be called on to interact directly with members through email, online webinars, and at in-person events.
