Operations & Maintenance Trainee

Objective: Be a part of the team who ensures the continued success of our projects. An Operations and Maintenance Trainee will assist in the design review, documentation review, analysis, reporting, and research as it relates to the Tolling, ITS and NCS subsystems to be installed on the I-66 Outside the Beltway corridor.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
-         Provide documentation review and comment on the following:
o  Field system design
o  Project Management Plans, Maintenance Plans, Training Plans, Safety Plans, Communication Plans, etc.
-         Field System inspections and documentation of findings regarding proper installation and placement of foundations, ground boxes, conduit runs / layout, electrical service points, etc.
-         Attend meetings with 3rd parties, take minutes / notes, circulate to the management team.
-         Prepare presentations, reports, track installation progress, and other necessary data to be used within the Field Systems Department

Required Qualifications:
-         Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related
-         Working knowledge of AutoCAD
-         High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, specially Excel
-         Superior technical report writing and communication skills
-         Proficiency in MicroStation and/or ArcGIS preferred
-         Prior experience or exposure in the field is a plus, but not required
-         Ethical, caring and with the ability to work in a collaborative environment
