TECHNICAL MEDIA PRODUCER
(OPERATIONS)
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Operates the Media Control Center and Directs Newscasts
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handles the execution of the days programming log
- Directs/Technically directs newscasts using Ross Overdrive
- Transfers/Segment syndicated programming
- Ingests Spots and Paid Programming
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
- Knowledge of Ross Overdrive and Harris automation.
- Knowledge of Vizrt, Cambotics and News room systems.
- Knowledge of Nexio video servers.
- Knowledge of satellite record systems.
- Good written and verbal communications skills.
- Good understanding and knowledge of Microsoft platform.
- Technical Directing and switcher knowledge.
EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:
Appropriate technical degree or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 1 year experience in a master control, newsroom or related production work.
MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Ross switcher and Overdrive, Vizrt, Yamaha audio, ENPS, Harris Automation, Compusat,
Harris video servers, Utah routers and various types of computer programs.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
On call breaking news and or covering shifts.
