Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst works with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance Teams to analyze monthly results and provide insight into key growth and profit drivers in our business, assists in the annual planning process and the regular forecasting process and performs ad hoc analyses and process improvement work as needed. This position reports to the Senior Finance Manager and is located in our Corporate office in Baltimore.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monthly analytics and management reporting
  • Assist in projects designed to identify and execute profit enhancement
  • Assist in process improvement projects
  • Assist in the annual planning process
  • Assist in the monthly financial forecast, including engagement in the S&OP process
  • Work with IT and other functional staff in developing tools that support our analytics program
  • Other ad hoc analysis
 DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required, MBA preferred
  • Strong ability to gather, organize and analyze volumes of data and build and communicate the insight developed in a broad business approach
  • Strong financial accounting skills
  • Strong skills in MS Office products (Excel, Powerpoint) required
  • Experience working in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and HFM
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially the ability to distill complex and voluminous data into easily consumed presentations
  • Ability to multi-task and handle several projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to apply independent judgment to solve complex problems
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to resolve issues
