About Us
Who We Are: Hey there, nice to e-meet you! We are Vellabox- the candle subscription company. Vellabox was founded in Los Angeles a few years ago by our CEO Adam [age 28] and is now located in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio. Our team sources the highest quality candles hand-poured by American artisans + a lifestyle bonus gift to curate a seasonally inspired box each month. We are a very genuine business, visible by our ingredients and the companies we partner with. Our core values come through with each and every candle selection: 100% soy, vegetable, or coconut wax based.
General Structure: Vellabox is a young team of 5 core employees who work together to grow the trajectory of the business [3 of which work on site every day]. Both our subscription base and responsibilities are continuing to grow quickly and that is where we turn to you! We would like to train 3 full time interns to assist us, each in one of the following categories- Merchandising, Marketing, & Public Relations.
Work Environment: Our work environment is productive, but our culture is very relaxed. We are committed to teaching you what we know best and making this a mutually beneficial relationship for the both of us. We are open to in-office and remote employees.

Marketing Opportunity
The Marketing Intern will work alongside our team on tasks related to growing the brand and subscriber base. The majority of all tasks will be related to expanding branding across social platforms, building connections with brand affiliates, sourcing imagery, researching the market and competitive brands, assisting with marketing / advertising campaigns, and analyzing in-house + external marketing performance.
Candidate Qualifications
The ideal candidate is working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a relevant area and have related work experience. He/she is a visual and creative individual with sharp written and analytical skills. He/she has excellent communication, prioritization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. He/she is dependable, a team player, and gets along well with others.
Note: This internship is an unpaid opportunity. Vellabox will provide knowledge and training in order to grow in the marketing field.
