Business Development Analyst
COMPANY BACKGROUND
Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor specializing in on-site cleaning of high purity gas and fluid systems, as well as precision cleaning of components and hardware at the company’s Cleanroom facilities. Astro Pak provides services to over 15 sectors including: Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and other selected Industrial markets. The company, founded in 1959, has performed on-site precision chemical cleaning in every State of the Union as well as several projects in Asia, continental Europe, England, Ireland and Mexico.
POSITION OPPORTUNITY
The Business Development Analyst (BDA) supports the company by providing data driven feedback, guidance, research and resources to help generate new business, increased revenue, and effectiveness.
This position is responsible for research of sectors, geographic regions, services and supply chains to identify and qualify lead source resources and new opportunities. The BDA requires a commitment to on-going learning of industry trends and staying current with Astro Pak’s technical proficiencies.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Research and provide guidance in:
- Statistical models to identify and predict emerging opportunities and trends in targeted market segments / sectors, geographic regions and service offerings
- Develops and implements targeted surveys for the purpose of gathering customer behavior market information
- Competitive landscape
- Provide data driven feedback loop for: Marketing campaigns, DM activities, BD campaigns, Events, Prospecting effectiveness, Bidding effectiveness, Cost of acquisition
- Creates reports for marketing, sales and other teams
- On-going assessment of marketing and sales metrics to improve KPI selection and overall department effectiveness
- Lead generation
- Assess prospecting databases
- Create key accounts profiles to replicate revenue contribution
- Reads publications and attends seminars on industry trends to keep ahead of competition
- Analyze and implement projects subject to the U.S. Export Control Laws which include, but are not limited to, 22 Code of Federal Regulations (C.F.R.) Subchapter M, U.S. Department of Energy regulations found in 10 C.F.R. Part 10, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations found in 10 C.F.R. Part 110 and the U.S. Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations found in 15 C.F.R. Part 730 et seq.
Education/Training/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
Related Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of job-related experience and/or training, and demonstrated proficiency in accounting, analytics, finance or marketing.

- Excellent proficiency in PC-based computing (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and cGMP documentation) is essential.
- Ability to comply with federally mandated requirements of the U.S. Export Control Laws which include, but are not limited to, 22 Code of Federal Regulations (C.F.R.)
