Graduate Student Assistant

The Graduate Student Assistant will develop online surveys for occupational analyses and other CSLB research projects; assist with the preparation of examinations by proofreading versions; assist Exam Development personnel with examination development workshops; perform library, online, and statistical research on topics of interest to the Testing Division; and attend item writing and item review workshops to gain experience in examination development and item analysis. This experience will provide practical, hands-on training in job analysis, item writing, examination statistics, and other aspects of testing and assessment. The goal is to provide the GSA with the experience necessary to apply for testing jobs upon graduation, and, ideally, give them an opportunity to do research for their thesis that will benefit our department and themselves.

They are eligible to remain in the position as long as they are enrolled at least half-time in a graduate program.
