2020 Summer Intern Program – Database Engineer

A Day In The Life May Include:

Responsibilities
·        Provide assistance and work with Database Engineers in building and testing SQL and NoSQL database solutions
·        Assist in determining business requirements and planning and deploying test systems
·        QA data imported by various processes
·        Investigate, analyze, correct and document reported data defects
·        Create and maintain technical specification documentation

What You Will Need (Requirements):

·        Completed a business or engineering-related degree with a major or emphasis/minor in an IT area of study from an accredited university by summer 2021
·        Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts
·        Experience with a scripting language (Python, GO, or Java)
·        This role is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferences):

·        A major GPA of 3.0 or above in a business or engineering related degree
·        Experience with NoSQL technologies such as Elasticsearch, Cassandra or MongoDB
·        Familiarity with Spark and Kafka
