Sales and Tech Support Engineer

This position performs pre-sale and post-sale technical support of digital X-ray flat panel detector and related systems for existing and potential clients, to ensure that the client’s needs are met and their expectations are correctly set. Because of the dynamic and ever-changing nature of the work, this position is also required to be up-to-date with the latest technologies, offers, and systems. This position requires light travel in US and international for a few times a year.

Typical tasks:
Technical Support: Participate in day-to-day operational technical support to help resolve customer cases, by communication via e-mail and phone.
Technical Support: Oversee and perform repairs of defective or damaged products from customers.
Technical Support: Assist in production, testing, verification and inventory recording of digital panel detectors and systems.
Sales Support: Liaise with potential new customers to determine the products that are best suited to their existing and future needs.
Sales Support: Organize with potential customers and colleagues the loaning of demonstration products for customer testing and integration. Make sure the delivery of demonstration products occurs in a timely manner. Follow up with customers to ensure the demonstrations and integrations are successful. Resolve customer issues and address customer concerns proactively.
Encourage and oversee the sale of demonstration products to new customers so that the product does not need to be returned after testing.
Visit new and existing customers periodically to provide demonstrations of products, conduct product training sessions; including presenting design and performance advantages, installation procedures, operation methods, and troubleshooting.
Liaise and visit system manufacturer customers to assist with the integration of products into their designs and determine future product needs.
Communicate to existing customers the announcement of new products and encourage purchasing.
Attend exhibitions to assist with promoting products.
Assist in post-sales support and production to ensure that the customer’s needs are met.

Education and Experience Required:
College degree in Electrical, IT, or equivalent.
Microelectronics industrial or semiconductor assembly experience is preferred
Real production experience is desired
Multi-lingual skills are required, especially in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.

Knowledge and Skills:
Self-initiative and proactive work style, adopt to learn
Willingness to reach out to customers and potential customers with little to no impetus
Knowledge of mechanical or electrics, especially in radiography field
Ability to analytical and problem solving skills.
Understanding of module properties in product.
Strong communication skills in problem approaching;
Well awareness and practices in quality control and medical device record during production.
Good business sense for safeguarding company, supplier, and customer information, particularly in regards to proprietary, trade, and intellectual data.
