The Senior Accountant is responsible for general ledger account reconciliations and work papers, trend
analysis, weekly and monthly journal entries, and preparing schedules required by external auditors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepares general ledger account reconciliations and work papers for various asset and liability accounts
  • Prepares weekly and monthly journal entries and reports as part of the Weekly Profit Summary and Monthly Financial Statement process
  • Reconciles sub-ledgers to general ledger and resolves differences
  • Assists in the month-end close consolidation process
  • Performs financial statement review and trend analysis
  • Assists with enhancing and streamlining processes and procedures
  • Prepares schedules required by external auditors
  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or Certificate in Accounting; CPA or CPA Candidate preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of pertinent accounting experience – public accounting or private industry experience (hands on general ledger experience highly desirable)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills required; proficiency in the English language may be required
  • Positive attitude and ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) applications
