FACILITIES SUMMER INTERN
Facilities management in a non-profit setting including equipment life cycle analysis, energy efficiency study, preventative maintenance, inspection/auditing practices, and capital budget management
INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, the intern will assist in life cycle analyses of mechanical systems like HVAC and boilers, oversee the transition of inspection checklists to iPad, identify preventative maintenance opportunities, and analyze energy management systems.
INTERN REQUIREMENTS
Career path/background in facilities management
Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in efficiency analysis
Computerized management system experience is a plus
Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word
Must pass background records check including CORI, SORI, and DCF
Drug and TB test required
INTERN LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Obtain broad hands-on experience by working in multiple areas of facilities management
2. Gain a familiarity with energy systems and equipment life cycle analysis
3. Develop an understanding of capital budget management in a non-profit organization
4. Participate in experiences with inspections and auditing
SALARY: $15/HR FULL-TIME POSITION (40 HOURS A WEEK)
