Summer Intern - Data Analytics for Special Projects

Individual will assist with data analytics for two Technical Activities platforms - IEEE DataPort (IEEE data platform https://ieee-dataport.org) and IEEE Resource Centers. These new platforms provide benefits and new capabilities IEEE members and non-members alike and are revenue-generating for IEEE.  

This role will set up reports and analyze data from both Google Analytics and Tableau to help better understand usage metrics for IEEE DataPort and the IEEE Resource Centers and enable better target marketing going forward. Analyzing data, develping reports and Increasing usage of both of the platforms will be established as goals for the intern. 

Individual will work with supervisor to: 

1. Understand and assess current metrics received from both Google Analytics and Tableau.

2. Define a Data Analytics plan to help achieve the established usage goals 

2. Execute the Data Analytics plan

3. Develop a final report to show the effectiveness of the Data Analytics.  

Individual will be expected to take on responsibilities and work independently and as part of specific teams to achieve established goals. 

 

Qualifications

 

Rising senior or college graduate in Engineering or Data Analytics.

Proficiency with Google Analytics, Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau is required.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Ability to grasp technical aspects of web platforms and functionality.

Ability to create effective metric reports from Google Analytics and Tableau.

Ability to utilize analytics to identify trends and help identify target areas
