Information Governance Analysts (Data Analysts)

Mintz is seeking two IG Analysts to join their team! Great opportunity for recent graduates or those 1 year out of school who are interested in working in a law firm. One role is more focused on technical/data (data governance) and the other is focused on review and analysis (matter mobility).

The Information Governance (“IG”) Analysts perform and coordinate activities associated with lateral file import and client/matter file transfer organization and tracking. They work closely with the Information Governance staff to review (matter mobility role only), coordinate, track and monitor workflows. The IG Analysts will report to two IG Managers, within their respective group.

Responsibilities:


Administer the matter mobility processes, including but not limited to collecting client materials, coordinating the review process, updating the DMS and tracking all transfer materials.


Document procedures for the identification, capture, & disposition of electronic records and data.


Perform initial review utilizing Relativity and other litigation review platforms, including setting up reviews, running searches and running reports.


Research and retrieve files using a variety of search tools, including manual and electronic resources.


Review and prepare electronic and physical files for release outside of the firm. (matter mobility role only)


Participate in training and development opportunities.


Assume additional responsibilities as requested.



Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree required.


Minimum of one to two years’ of records or information management experience; law firm experience preferred.


Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Strong organizational and administrative skills.


Excellent attention to detail and ability to execute through to completion.


Creative problem solving skills, reasoning ability, and logical thought process.


Ability to work under pressure and meet various deadlines.


Demonstrated ability to professionally interact and collaborate with colleagues at all levels.


Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Outstanding sense of customer service.


Enthusiastic, proactive, and positive attitude.

Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to quickly get up to speed and master new applications and software is critical.
