Internship-Engineering, Quality, Research/Development

Job Title: Quality/Continuous Improvement Internship (EP Admin Support EPAD006)
Reports to: Quality Manager

Primary Function: Provide temporary support to the Quality/Continuous Improvement group. Receive exposure and training in the Quality department as well as experience in a manufacturing environment. This assignment date and term will be determined during the interview process with pay at the rate of $10.80 per hour, no benefits would be applicable.
Requirements:
·       Must be at least 18
·       Current high school/college student majoring in Technical/Science/Engineering related field. (2 yr. degree or equivalent academic credits- preferred)
·       Technical or engineering coursework or equivalent on the job experience
·       Familiarity with engineering design programs (Hands on experience preferred)
·       PC computer skills w/ MS Word, Excel.
·       Good written and oral communication skills.
·       Demonstrated problem-solving ability
·       Participate and support all team activities.
·       Must have ability to multi task.
·       Ability to work independently with little supervision
·       Prior experience or internship in an industrial manufacturing setting preferred
Responsibilities:
·       Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
·       Train and job shadow in each function of Quality Department.
·       Perform administrative and data entry functions in support of Quality, Safety, Production and/or Engineering.
·       Create and maintain data records/documents
·       Project support, collecting data, planning and execution of projects.
·       Regular and predictable attendance; safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of this job.

Qualifications:
·       Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
·       Experience with AutoCAD preferred but not required
·       Excellent organizational skills are required
·       Excellent written and oral communication skills
·       Ability to work solo and in a team environment
·       Must be detail oriented, and able to perform all assigned tasks with minimal supervision
·       Part Time availability over 20-hrs/week will be considered
·       2 years office experience
·       A professional business personal presentation
·       Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of the job
 
Responsibilities:  
·       Help sort, organize, and rename computer files
·       Create, maintain, and update spreadsheets
·       Perform simple modifications to PDF files and AutoCAD drawings
