Summer Internship Program

The Recruitment/Talent Acquisition Management Unit at the NYC Department of Finance would like to invite you to view/apply for internship opportunities during the Summer 2020.

NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly, efficiently, and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service.

DOF is currently seeking college students to work as interns in the undergrad and graduate level to assist in working at various divisions/offices within the agency. Interns will be able to learn the day-to-day operations of the agency and gain hands on experience as they work within thier field of interest.


Summer College Intern positions
Salary: $15.00 - $17.50/hourly
Requirements: As of June of 2020 the prospective intern must be a student matriculated in a college or be a recent college graduate (winter/spring term of the 2019/2020 year). NOTE: Appointment to this title is only valid for the duration of June-August 2020.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Computer Information Systems

  • Passion for helping people and providing excellent customer service.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new subjects and then expressing them clearly and succinctly to others.
  • Ability to speak, read and write proficiently in other languages is a plus.
