Senior Analyst - Business Analytics

The Senior Analyst – Business Analytics role will support medical cost analytics for the Government Business Segment. This role will be responsible for the development of medical expense analysis, detailed reports of trend drivers, and innovative solutions that provide actionable insights to local market and matrix stakeholders that help address medical cost.

• Perform monthly analysis of financial performance across geographies and payment methodologies

• Present analytic findings and recommendations to business partners and leadership to drive data-informed solutions

• Derive actionable insights from healthcare data to engage and enable matrix partners through ad hoc needs and user story development

• Become proficient in reimbursement methodologies and understand how to identify trends and outliers by payment area

• Monitor industry publications and assess internal trends against industry benchmarks

• Experience using data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, SAS, or R

• Strong interpersonal skills that can be leveraged to deliver market focused presentations to our customers and provide interpretation of analysis performed.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Ability to present meaningful results to a business audience

• Passionate about delivery of valuable BI products to drive insight-based decision making

• Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment

• Experience with healthcare analytics

• Experience with big data platforms such as Teradata and Hadoop

• Bachelors Degree or Higher in related field
