Vestas Management Trainee Programme is a 18 month program where you will have the opportunity to work on three 6-month assignments with a progressive increase in challenge and responsibility.

In this rotation, the Graduate will work with three different SBU units: 1) Sales Operations; 2) Market Intelligence; and 3) "Steelhead" Business Development. By the end of your 18 months in the program, you'll be intimately familiar with the Vestas commercial business as well as power markets and the renewable energy value chain.

 

Regardless of the position or part of the country - business focus is the focus of this role. The positions are aimed at candidates with various bachelor's degree e.g. either within Finance, Engineering or other Business areas.

Sales Operations is the heart of Vestas Americas day to day activity and portfolio optimization. Here you'll spend time learning the fundamentals of how Vestas prices and delivers solutions to its customers. In Market Intelligence, you'll be a part of a cross-functional, highly visible team that serves as the go-to resource for market knowledge and commercial analytics across functions. Finally, you'll spend time with the "Steelhead" Development group working to enable customer projects as well as build out the Vestas project pipeline.

•   Support portfolio optimization activities through financial analysis, supply chain planning and presentation materials

•   Develop pitch decks for customer presentations via research and data analysis

•   Quantify impact of external market factors such as economic incentives, supply chain price volatility, environmental restrictions, and federal/state/local governmental rules as it may impact company and project financials

•   Research project development opportunities, develop financial models and support execution of existing project pipeline

 

•   Holds a relevant bachelor's degree (or will finish one before June 2020) from university

•   Excellent IT skills with GIS and/or Computer Science (e.g., R, Python) experience preferred

•   Energy experience and/or education preferred

•   English language required, additional language preferred

•   Holds a strong business acumen 

•   Excellent analytical and communication skills
