Associate Director of Quality and Operations

You will be responsible for managerial, professional, administrative, and supervisory work as a senior manager for Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center (MTCCC). This work involves independent supervisory and program administrative responsibility over the various operations departments including event conversion staff, custodial, command center and guest service attendants, maintenance, and the gift shop. This position will include oversight of lower level supervisors relative to directly managing staff in the areas of Operations, Maintenance, Command Center, Gift Shop and Guest Service Attendants. You will also be expected to participate in driving the organization toward achieving its objectives. As part of the leadership of the organization, you will be expected to do your part in the support of strategic and operational decision making in a "business partnering" capacity. This is in addition to fulfilling traditional stewardship responsibilities relating to governance, compliance and control, and business ethics. Specifically, this position will be primarily responsible for the overall standard of the physical plant and grounds including the sustainability of LEED-EB certification and for the Quality Improvement Program which is an integral part of Monona Terrace Operations. The work is characterized by the regular exercise of independent judgment in the application of management procedures and principles in a business and governmental setting and the performance of other related business management functions. Under the limited supervision of the Monona Terrace Director, this position requires considerable professional expertise, initiative and discretion in meeting objectives.
