Senior Instructional Systems Designer (ISD)

ERPi is seeking a full-time Senior Instructional Systems Designer to provide onsite support in Washington, DC.
VHA Community Care is a program that provides Veteran patients with greater access to care through an integrated network of VA health care facilities and community providers in a manner that is easy to understand, simple to administer, and meets the needs of Veterans, community providers, and VA employees. 
In support of this effort, ERPi is seeking a Senior Instructional Systems Designer (Sr. ISD) who is experienced in evaluating and developing federal training programs. The Sr. ISD will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing training programs in support of a large transformational program. The Sr. ISD will be responsible for supporting the program throughout the continuum of training including training analysis and planning, adult learning models, curriculum design, training content development across different modes of delivery, and training measurement.
Role Description:
  • Provides subject matter expertise in adult learning and instructional design.
  • Tasks may include performing: training analysis and planning, adult learning models, curriculum design, training content development across different modes of delivery, and, and training measurement.
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships and communications and represent ERPi at client progress meetings and briefings.
  • Prepare quality client deliverables.
  • Help to plan and execute programs within the client governance structure.
  • Support client growth initiatives by identifying additional opportunities and scoping/responding to follow-on tasks.
Responsibilities
Required Skills and Experiences:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 5 years of experience in instructional design, educational, corporate training, or professional services environment, with an emphasis on e-learning.
  • Experience in the performance of all aspects of instructional design for e-Learning and Distributed Learning environments to include management of client deliverables within scheduling requirements against defined milestones and deadlines.
  • Ability to develop a basic subject-matter understanding through materials provided and individual research/collaboration with course/content SMEs.
  • Demonstrated writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting of client-ready materials.
  • Experience in developing learner-centric products to include performance support solutions.
  • Strong consulting and interpersonal skills; able to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and implement instructional materials and solutions following defined processes to include standard operating procedures (SOPs), structured courseware, and informal learning content.
  • Experience collecting, compiling, analyzing, and synthesizing information to determine learning requirements and implementing learning solutions.
  • Expertise using eLearning development software (Adobe Captivate, Articulate, etc)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project) 
Additional Skills Desired:
  • Master’s degree desirable - Instructional Systems Development, Learning Technology, Adult Education or comparable
  • Federal and/or Healthcare consulting experience
  • Familiarity with requirements of the Federal Government Printing Office Style Manual and/or Section 508 compliance is a plus
