Operations Lead

ERPi has an exciting new opportunity for you to join us as an Operations Lead in Washington, DC!
We are committed to providing superior support to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), assisting in the seamless care for Veterans, including access to a complete electronic health record (EHR) and shared, transparent care pathways with the Department of Defense (DoD) and community providers. Currently the VA is undertaking an enterprise-wide Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) effort through the procurement of the Cerner commercial electronic health record software, and with our help, this modernization will result in a common, single, lifetime health record that both DoD and VA can access, with anticipated improvements in patient care and safety.
This role will:
  • Directly support the TIO Director of Operations and the CTIO to develop, execute, and manage business processes and an office and team structure that supports EHRM's mission of implementing a single EHR for our nation's active duty service members and veterans. 
  • Coordinate with each TIO sub-pillar (e.g., Architecture, Engineering, ATTs, Infrastructure) to ensure TIO Ops staff are providing adequate support to other teams for Ops-related areas such as schedule and risk management; develops and reviews internal and external briefing materials and deliverables; and assists Analysts with deep dives on individual subject areas, such as Risk Management. 
  • Provide oversight and process improvement/reengineering expertise to the TIO Ops team as needed; provide senior leadership and guidance on specific areas of TIO focus and coordinate across pillars. 
  • Manage tasking to team from TIO leadership and EHRM leadership; and review action items assigned to TIO, along with other ad hoc tasks as needed.
  • Support TIO Ops in client meetings with stakeholder groups, such as Governance Boards, OIT, and other OEHRM pillars.
Responsibilities
  • Required Skills and Experience:
  • At least 4 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Healthcare, Science, Computer Engineering or related scientific, technical, or clinical discipline is required, or at least 12 years of experience without a degree
  • Experience with the Dept of Veterans Affairs
  • Knowledge of appropriate data sources to address the specific requirements of projects for monitoring, characterization, analysis and modeling
  • Able to perform scientific research, scientific writing and editing, including the writing and editing of project products to established government standards for the targeted science and lay audiences, proofreading of draft and final documents
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to present at meetings and workshops on project work and participate in discussions
  • Possess strong Project Management experience

  • Experience implementing Electronic Health Records
