Data Analyst

Position: As part of the Portfolio Management team, the Data Analyst will provide analytic support through the collection and analysis of data to drive strategic decision-making by the Company’s senior management team. The right candidate will be a creative, passionate problem solver with the experience, skills, and abilities to turn large and complex data sets into meaningful and actionable intelligence.

·        Data collection, aggregation and audit to support accurate risk assessment measures, key metric reporting, and in-depth analyses of operator / business segment performance drivers

·        Effectively integrate data from internal and external sources (public, subscription, third parties, etc.) for utilization by senior management in the evaluation of business drivers and future strategy 

·        Compile, organize and analyze operator and property data to produce relevant financial statistics, forecasts, and sensitivity reports – as well as current and comparative performance / trends

·        Develop requisite models / tools to effective employ predictive analytics for identified use cases

·        Evaluate and lead any approved enhancement of the Company’s existing data visualization dashboards

·        Remain current with relevant technological advancements and emerging analytic trends / tools

·        Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics or another relevant field

·        0 – 2 years of experience in analytics, modeling, business systems / information or similar experience

·        Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining database / programs

·        Proficiency in creating statistical models and performing related analyses

·        Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint with proficiency in other Microsoft Office Suite programs

·        Basic knowledge of financial terms and principles

·        Strong verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills

·        Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

·        Self-motivated and highly organized team player with keen attention to detail and process improvement
