Special Projects Coordinator

In 2021, Project Rousseau will celebrate its 10th anniversary. As this milestone approaches, the organization is looking to hire a Special Project Coordinator to support a number of new, exciting initiatives, including: a $5 million fundraising target for the organization's endowment and a $1 million campaign for special projects, the building of an environmental education facility in Monaco, strengthening partnerships with higher education institutions, cultural institutions, exchange schools, internship providers, and other stakeholders, and supporting the organization's research output on including on the legal profession in Africa, post-conflict reconstruction, and regulatory affairs.

At Project Rousseau, our mission is to empower youth in communities with the greatest need to reach their full potential and pursue, and excel in, higher education. Our students typically come from families with an average income of less than $12,000. A growing portion of our student body is comprised of recent arrivals to the United States, Native American Reservation students, or have had involvement with the juvenile justice system.

Project Rousseau's affiliates also include a private foundation, an environmental education charity in Monaco, and other related entities.

The key tasks of the Special Project Coordinator include:

  • Provide strategic and administrative support to the Founder and Chief of Staff on key initiatives at Project Rousseau and related organizations.
  • To advise, monitor, and support the “Highest Delta” Squad of Project Rousseau students.
  • Prepare due diligence reports for the Founder on prospects.
  • Support the organization's Founder in academic publications related to organizational priorities.
  • To provide support to partnerships and development initiatives at Project Rousseau and related organizations.
  • To lead on broadening horizons programming and develop partnerships in this domain.

This role is suited to those looking to have an administrative role at a growing non-profit organization.

The ideal candidate will be:
  • Highly organized
  • Comfortable leading independent projects and showing initiative
  • Inquisitive and have strong research skills
  • Interested in education, inequality, and injustice
  • Foreign language skills are preferable, but not required
