Principal IT Architect

PURPOSE
The Principal IT Architect reports to the Director of IT Applications and is responsible for the overall architecture of FormFactor's IT applications, which include Oracle ERP, Agile (Product Data Management), and Data Warehouse.
 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops macro (high-level) application and technology design architecture for application portfolios and major program initiatives.
  • Ensures alignment and compliance of detailed application and technical designs with architecture strategies, standards and guidelines.
  • Identify architecture challenges and opportunities and resolves architecture issues related to applications, programs and technology.
  • Provide architecture oversight and guidance for technology, projects and programs, working with multiple development teams.
  • Establish the Strategic vision for IT Applications, with key focus on Oracle EBS R12 or higher
  • Maintain the do-the-right-thing-for-the-enterprise perspective.
  • work with different application support to manage IT Architecture.
  • Develops and documents current and target state architecture diagrams and mappings.
  • Develops application portfolio and technology strategies, standards and roadmaps.
  • Identifies and articulates consistency and reuse opportunities.
  • Develops cross-domain architecture and integrates common strategies.
  • Establish/document best practices, and standards.
 
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Over 8 years of progressive experience in the planning, management, development and implementation of application software. At least 3 years of responsible architecture experience. Experience in the semiconductor industry preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Masters/PHD degree in Computer Science or equivalent is a plus.
  • Ability to manage teams working on application projects is a plus
  • A successful candidate will possess the highest level of proficiency in key IT architecture and administration to develop IT architecture, standards and procedures and policies
  • Experience as a leadership role for other IT System Analysts, Architects, Business Analysts and Developers in specific systems design activities using FormFactor standards and tools.
  • Hands-on knowledge on SOA implementations, SOA architectures and SOA to integration ERP and MES systems 
  • Experience with development environment like Oracle JDeveloper and Java/J2EE Application Design and Development is a plus
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Nice to have XML, Web Services, SOAP, WSDL, BPEL, Discoverer
