Algorithm Engineer Intern, Computer Vision

Responsibilities 
Alibaba is equipped with massive image/video data, powerful computation resource, and immense market growth. We are seeking for talents in computer vision with solid foundational knowledge and extensive practical experience in visual analysis, diagnosis, search, synthesis, etc. Preferred candidate should be intelligent, optimistic, endurable, introspective, striving for excellence and self-motivated. As a computer vision algorithm engineer at Alibaba, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
1. Design and develop algorithm, system and product for image/video analysis, diagnosis, search and synthesis, including image based classification/detection/segmentation, visual tracking, semantic video understanding, face recognition and analysis, traffic scene analysis, industrial/medical diagnosis, image/video search, webpage analysis and synthesis, OCR, etc.
2. Perform research to expand frontiers of image/video related computer vision algorithms, including creative usage of machine learning (e.g., deep learning) in computer vision problems, and joint innovation with related fields such as NLP and computer graphics.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelor degree is required, and Master/Ph.D. degree is preferred, in computer science, mathematics, electronic engineering, telecommunication, automation and related fields.
2. Proficient in C/C++, Java, Python or other related language. Winning experience in programing contest, such as ACM/ICPC and top coder, is preferred.
3. Strong research capability. Publications in related top conferences or journals, such as ICCV, CVPR, NeurIPS, ICML and TPAMI, are preferred.
4. Strong logical and analytical problem-solving capability. Winning experience in data mining competitions, such as Kaggle, Alibaba Tianchi, and authoritative challenges in relevant research fields, is preferred.
5. Extensive experience in computer vision, machine learning, image/video analysis and processing, or other related fields. Relevant work experience is preferred.
