Journalism Fellow - July 2020 Start
The Journalism Fellow will play an integral role in the JAARS Communications department by supporting the current Communications team in researching and writing pieces for external distribution. He or she will become familiar with the process of regularly creating written content for the JAARS blog and various JAARS publications.
Job Responsibilities
- Research and gather possible stories and information for future pieces
- Perform interviews with JAARS staff, field partners, and other key people associated with articles
- Draft articles and written content for the JAARS blog and other JAARS publications, including Partner Express
- Edit their own articles
- Collaborate with the Communications department about marketing strategy and the content of future pieces
- Other job-related duties as assigned by the manager

Fellows Program Requirements

Preferred
- Working experience with Google suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.) and Microsoft Office
- Preferred majors include English, Writing, Journalism, and Communications
