Applied Mathematician/Statistician
We seek applicants who enjoy an entrepreneurial environment and have a keen interest in big data, statistics, and machine learning. Our analysts work in small, collaborative teams to serve a variety of industries, particularly healthcare. We offer both internal training on all our groundbreaking analytic tools.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare data for analysis and use machine-learning technology to produce predictive insights.
- Collaborate with co-workers and clients to understand problems and develop analytic solutions.
- Manage multiple high-priority tasks that have competing deadlines.
- Clearly and effectively communicate through multiple mediums, both internally and to clients.
- Stay apprised of current and emerging trends in applied mathematics, statistics, and machine learning.
Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering (e.g., Computer, Electrical, Network), or a related discipline.
- One or more years of work experience, including internships, developing analytic models.
- Proficiency with statistical tools (e.g., R, SAS, MATLAB).
- Experience with programming languages (C++, Java, Python); cloud-based systems (e.g., AWS); and relational (e.g., SQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., graphical databases).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, apply creativity, and rapidly learn new skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
